Dr. Zhu is a world renowned Optometrist and Fellow of International Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control (FIAOMC)。 He received his Dr. of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry. Before that, he was an Instructor at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Zhu also holds an PhD degree in Physiology from the University of Wisconsin Medical School at Madison. Dr. Zhu graduated from Peking University in China before he came to the United States.
Dr. Zhu's top areas of expertise are in Orthokeratology and pediatric optometry. He received his pediatric optometry training in the Department of Pediatric Ophthalmology at the New England Medical Center and also New England Eye Institute at Perkins School for Blinds. His Contact lenses training was completed in the New England Eye Institute. Dr. Zhu has been working as an independent Doctor of Optometry in National Vision Inc. before he started his own private practice in Newton and Boston.
Dr. Zhu is a a certified Wave Contact Lens Designer and also a certified Paragon CRT provider. He is specialized in providing the orthokeratological services using both type of lenses, he has dispensed more than 7,000 orthoK lenses in the last 10 years.
Dr. Zhu has enjoyed becoming a part of the community of Newton and Boston and looks forward to continuing to serve the residents in these two towns and their neighborhood areas.
